Terrible service
Very disappointing service. Paid £10 for bike build upon arrival at Chadwell Heath branch Bike was not ready. Total waste of my time & money to travel to the shop. Was told that staff had been busy. Could not wait 45 minutes so had to return another day at more expense to me. What was the point of booking a collection time. At the very least I should have been called or emailed that Bike would not be ready.

Very good service for replacement battery
Very good service. The staff were excellent and informative. Emma fitted my replacement battery with no fuss. Would definitely recommend for price and service.

Old bike new bike

Ordered online.
Excellent service 10 mins in store and all done and ready to go.
Just done so can’t comment on whether the stick on pads last but guy that fitted it was reassuring and very professional so should be fine.

Falling short on customer communication
Despite a requirement to set a time fo rcolleciton when purchasing, and receiving numerous emails reminding me of th etime, I arrived at the store to told they had not started building the bike.
Why can Halfords, when sending so many messages, not sen done to say that they are not ready at the specified time? As ever, limited awareness of customer needs. Not least when there are easy solutions to this but clearly customer satisfaction is not as important an issue as one would hope.
2 stars for the effort of Anthony, in store, who worked hard to try and resolve the matter - though interestingly the staff do not seem to be aware that one has to book an appointed time for bike collection.

Horrible Customer Service
I wanted to return an item to Halfords Harrow store and I forgot the printed receipt at home. I had a photo of it with the barcode on my phone. I approached the desk and I asked if I can return it if they can read the barcode on the phone. The cashier was very rude and told me that how would she know if the receipt was fake. I said to her I wouldn't come all the way to the store with a fake receipt for an item which was about £40. I was shocked with way she treated me as if I am a fraudster. She went back and asked her supervisor who approved the transaction and she paid me back. I called the customer service line as soon son as I left the shop on the 11th May 2022 and logged my complaint with ref number 16608487. I have not heard from any one until 20th July 2022 and I decided to log to Halfords website and log on to their chat to follow up. The agent found my complaint and wrote back to me as oh it was about a fake receipt. I was shocked again as my complaint about the unacceptable staff attitude was registered as "fake receipt". I wrote back explaining all above but the agent ended the chat. Unbelievable. Hopefully someone from the management would read above and address the issue. I lost my trust with Halford and would avoid shopping from them again

Went to Halfors in Guildfor to have my…
Went to Halfors in Guildfor to have my motorcycle number plate to be made and to my surprise they do not do it on the spot but have to order to a thirdy party. I has tols it woud take 3 days and today went there and it was not ready! The staff was arrogant and did not care about my complaint.
Absolutely useless customer service and I would recomend everyone to go somewhere else

DashCam fitting at Worksop
I had booked to have a DashCam fitted at the Worksop store yesterday. All went well. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and have made an excellent job of fitting it. Highly recommended.

Made me (a grown man) cry. The worst experience imaginable (at the worst time).
Halfords managed to do what I thought was impossible: make a strong GROWN MAN CRY.

I purchased a pushchair for my baby 5 weeks before she was due using a giftcard. It was an expensive pushchair (£600) and I couldn't have afforded it without the giftcard.

It arrived broken (confirmed by the manufacturer and agreed by Halfords). Halfords agreed via telephone to collect it and dispatch a replacement same-day, rushing it on the basis my baby was nearly due and I needed it for then. 5 days after they collected, I’d heard nothing, so I phoned to chase. At this point I was already in despair so started recording all phone calls with them. Their agent told me “the automatic replacment order had failed but they'd put it through now".

Another 2 days, and I receive a random email saying “your return was refunded because the warehouse made a mistake”. There was no refund showing on my credit card, no refund showing on my gift card, no replacement giftcard issued, and no further communication.

At this point I’m 5 phone calls in, lasting a cumulative total of 3 hours. At which point my wife goes into labour.

We had a complicated delivery and were kept in the hospital. My wife couldn’t walk and we had no other decent transport to/from the hospital. Halfords made 3 commitments to get a replacement out to me prior to 18th July (the date of induction) and failed to meet all 3. Because of this it took me 3 hours to get my family home instead of 25 minutes - in the 40 degree heatwave.

I’ve phoned every day since the refund email, often twice. Everyone gives a different message. Someimtes it’s “giftcard refunds take 5-7 days, you need to wait another 2 days” - but this makes no sense - I can instantly top-up a giftcad online, and if this money still in the Halfords eco-system you could just cancel the giftcard and manually replace the item.

WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON?! HOW IS IT THAT SUCH INCREDIBLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE STILL EXISTS THESE DAYS?

Halfords, I’m a new dad, I haven’t slept for more than 1 hour twice in 4 days, I’m desperate for the pushchair that I paid for, and your respnse is to leave me waiting for 2 weeks, waste 12+ hours of my time chasing you, and leave me in tears.

Halfords, I beg of you, Jees’ I’ll get on bended knee if that what it takes - someone give me some answers, and please PLEASE give me my pushchair.

Great customer service from Adrian at Halfords Bournemouth... Walked in with a buckled tyre needing a new inner tube too... Adrian said they were super busy but he had time to deal with it now and he did! All done in 15 mins...Thanks so much! :-)

Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Went in for the bike check. Of course it was free, but they’ve found some errors on my bike that DO NOT EXIST. Like they gave me a list of things that they have to change/repair and they estimated a total of £130. As other place told me there was only one thing that had to be repaired and they quoted me for £25. After asking if they can just repair back break issue they refused and told me that I can either choose to get everything done from the list or buy spare parts in their shop and repair it myself. Avoid!
